THE ORAMIX RESULTS

You might remember us encouraging you to listen to and hopefully vote for 'Satellites Cry' in the Science Museum Oramics competition. Here's what the Science Museum has sent us:

"So we meet again.

The results are in and after adding up the scores it turned out we had a 'photo finish' on our hands.

Unfortunately you didn't win, but we would like to give 'Satellites Cry' a special mention, because it still had an impressive overall score and everybody really liked the idea of
"satellites crying to each other across the void of space"
to put it in the words of our judge at The Wire.

Brian Eno said it
"Has a strong mood, and the sort of mysteriousness that Daphne liked."

DJ Spooky thought it was
"A beautiful ambient piece."

We also think you submitted a pretty amazing track.

We are going to formally announce the winner and runners up on Thursday 1 March, could you please keep the results a secret until then?

Thank you for your wonderful submission"

So - close, but no cigar. Still, some good comments from Eno and DJ Spooky.

Next time...!

THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE THAT HELPED, LISTENED OR VOTED!
